Epic Sugar High: Chazz Goes To A Birthday Party

Yesterday? Chazz got to experience the epicness of a birthday party not-his-own.

Do you remember going to bday parties as a kid?

The fun games.
The other kids.
Mass amounts of SUGAR!!!!

Chazz sure won’t remember this one, but we know he had a blast none the less.

Some friends of ours (since Jr. High!) were celebrating their daughter’s 2nd birthday, and we all had quite a time!

{pssst!…Happy Birthday Jaiden!!}

Chazz’s first birthday wasn’t all that long ago…. but to see the difference between One and Two? WOW!

Little Miss Princess was opening gifts on her own, prancing around in her princess heels, and driving around her new Barbie Jeep.
::a little jealous::

Which brings me to two things:

-Gosh I can’t wait until Chazz turns two! (ya, I said typed it.)

-A little girl could be fun too! 🙂 Haha, someday.

Chazz was the youngest kiddo there, but that didn’t stop him from enjoying all of the frivolity.

Nope, not one bit.

He mowed down the pigs-in-a-blanket. Loved LOVED the ice cream. And even dove into the pile of candy that fell from the sky piñata.

However, pin the crown on the princess wasn’t really his cup of tea. We’ll work on that.

My favorite moment was when he saw Jaiden from across the room, (in her princess dress and heels) and he didn’t just walk, but RAN to her.

He was after that pretty little girl like white on rice. Haha made my day. My little charmer! ❤

Chazz had fun and Roman and I enjoyed watching him. He played just like the big kids. And even held his ground when one of those monsters kids tried to snatch a toy from him. (And well, this mama bear had his back. Rawr!)

I know this will be one of many birthdays he will help to celebrate {In fact, there is one more today.}

And just one example of the fun times (and sugar highs) ahead.

    Hey Chelcie,
    Sorry I haven’t had time to email you but wanted to pass along the name of a Facebook page that has lots of families with kids with ONH on it. Thought you might like to “meet” some other people.
    Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and Septo Optic Dysplasia Support (the name of the group)

      Hey Torey,
      No worries! I know how busy life can be. (who am I kidding, it’s ALWAYS busy 🙂 ) I did check out and “friend” the ONH page. What a great way to share and connect. I hope to add a resource section to the ONH page on my blog an will be including a link to their FB page.
      Thanks for the tip!

      Take care, Chelcie and Chazz

    I always find it so hard to stop from wanting to {nicely} attack a kid who’s taken something from my son or pushed him. Ugh.

    Kid parties are awesome. I’m lying of course, but the way you described it I almost believed it! At least your bud had fun and didn’t let any of the big kids punk him. Girl parties sound fun. Not that I would know.
